Saint Holy Cards

Holy Card directions:Saint Agnes Holy Card

1. Make a final copy on the stiff paper provided by your teacher.  Be neat and detailed. Use correct conventions on your words and sentences!

2. Draw a decorative border around the edges of the card on both sides.  You may choose simple symbols that relate to your saint, or just a patterned shape or design.

FRONT ONLY:

Saint Andrew Holy Card3. Draw a large, detailed picture of your saint that fills most of the central space. This should be a detailed, fully-colored, hand-made drawing. (Do not copy and print a picture from online or from a book.)

4. The saint should be shown with at least one symbolic item
(usually this is held by the saint) 

Your teacher will give you a list of some symbolic items and what they mean, but you may also use items that you find from your research.

5. Write the name of your saint in the space above your picture.

6. Below your picture, write your saint's birth and death dates, as best you could find in your research. (examples: 1192-1226 or 1st century A.D.)

BACK ONLY:

7. At the top, write your saint's feast date and what he or she is the patron of.

8. Write a brief (two or three sentences) description of your saint's life and what he or she is remembered for.

9. Write a short, one or two-sentence prayer to your saint.  This must relate to what your saint is the patron of.  You may use one that you find in your research, or make up your own.

10. Your first and last name & May 200_ (small, near the bottom)
