Sequence - happening in time-order

Sequence is most often found in narrative text (telling a story), or technical text (giving directions or telling the steps of an activity).

Examples of sequence:

• beginning, middle, end
• problem, problem-solving events, solution
• first, next, then, later, finally
• step 1, step 2, step 3, ...
