The Moving Bears of the Native Americans
Directions for 4-frame strip:
- Write and proofread 4 captions that describe the Micmacs' story about the Celestial Bear (our Big Dipper) from pages B14-15. Your captions may need to be more than one sentence each. There should be one for each of these times: early May, midsummer, mid-autumn, late autumn. Be sure to tell what time of year each sentence is about, and what happens at that time.
- Illustrate each of the segments of the story, showing the stars and the hunters. (See B15 for an example.) Be sure to show the events in the correct order! Show the stars and characters in the correct positions!
- Write your captions below each segment. Use correct capitalization, spelling, and punctuation. Write neatly!
