Saints Research Project

Each fourth grade student will choose a saint to learn about. You will pick a saint from the list of "Fourth Grade Focus Saints". Do not pick a saint you have researched in the past. No more than three students in the same class will be assigned the same saint. All saint choices must be approved by your teacher.

There are three parts to this project.  You will research your saint to find a specific set of information.  You will create a flip-book to present the information you have found.  You will also present all of the researched information during a "Meet the Saints" classroom talk-show interview.

First, research your saint using print materials (books, encyclopedias, etc.). When you have found all that is possible using the print sources, then you may use online sites to find the remaining information, with your teacher's permission! Record what you learn onto the Saint Research Record Sheet.

Create a flip book following the directions your teacher provides.

Review, memorize, and practice the answers to your five research questions to present your information to the whole class. Your teacher will "interview" you as you pretend to be the Saint that you have researched. You may dress like the saint for the interview, if you would like. Interviews will be conducted with a student-panel of 3 to 5 "Saints" at a time.

Use the links below for directions and resources to complete each of the three parts.
