USA Regions Index

This unit meets the Kansas and Archdioceasan outcomes for fourth grade regarding US Regions.

There are several ways we will study and share information about specific states and regions.

  • Learn about regions using booklets and maps in class
  • map various regions
  • work independently and in partnerships to research & complete projects
  • research states in each region using print and online resources
  • create posters and other artifacts to share knowledge about states and regions
  • present to the class
  • listen to others and record information

  • GeoNet allows you to play games to learn more about the USA or world
  • States jigsaw puzzle (hint: know if you are correct by watching the #correct count)
  • Jim's States Game: play to improve your knowledge of the 50 states' locations (very challenging!)
  • Find It! Click on the state or Canadian regions that match each label
  • State Capitals Game: play to show that you recognize the states and know their capital cities (three difficulty levels)
