Dear Postmaster General:

I am submitting a recommendation for a new stamp. I would like my stamp to be created because I have researched the United States and believe that my stamp will represent the U.S. very well. I mostly used the colors red, white, and blue on my stamp, because those are the colors in the U.S. flag.

The United States is a unique country that is made up of 50 independent states and a few territories. Its size rivals most countries and none have as many independent states as the United States. There are many interesting places to visit, inculding New York City, San Francisco, Mount Rushmore, oceans, and lakes. The United States has survived terrorist attacks, a civil war, floods, earthquakes, and droughts. All these reasons make my stamp a good one to use.

I chose to make my stamp an airmail stamp so that it would fly around the world and let everyone know about the United States.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Joe Schmoe (handwritten as a signature)
