Math Story Problems Answer Key

Specialty Math Story Problems Answer Key

1. 50 - 2 = 48. There were 48 states in 1958.

2. 570,374 - 1,045 = 569,329. Alaska is 569,329 square miles larger than Rhode Island.

3. 2,694,641 - 2,106,074 = 588,567. Kansas has 588,567 more people than Nevada.

4. 4,064 x 5 = 20,320. Mt. McKinley is 20,320 feet high.

5. 1959 - 1837 = 22. 22 x 2 = 44. Forty-four states would have been added between 1837 and 1959.
