Saints Research Project |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Each fifth grade student will choose a saint to learn about. You will pick a saint from the list of "Fifth Grade Focus Saints" or a saint that is related to your own name. Do not pick a saint you have researched in the past. No two students in the same class will be assigned the same saint. All saint choices must be approved by your teacher.There are three parts to this project. You will research your saint to find a specific set of information. You will create a design for a holy medal to honor the saint you have chosen. You will also present all of the researched information in one of the ways listed in the "Student Pick" section. First, research your saint using print materials (books, encyclopedias, etc.). When you have found all that is possible using the print sources, then you may use online sites to find the remaining information, with your teacher's permission! Record what you learn onto the Saint Research Record Sheet. Create a holy medal following the directions your teacher provides. Choose one of the nine options in the "Student Pick" section, and present your researched information to the whole class. Use the links below for directions and resources to complete each of the three parts. Saints Research Sites list (scroll to bottom of page) Saint Project "Student Pick" options |
