Book Commercial Directions

Directions:

  • This book commercial will be orally presented to a group of people, and may be video recorded and shown to someone afterward.
  • Your ultimate goal is to convince your audience to read this book!
  • In your commercial, you must present: title, author, characters, and any important/special events from the book that you think will help to convince the audience.
  • SHOW THE BOOK in your commercial!
  • Use at least one of the advertising techniques (approaches) that you have learned in class.
  • Use the Book Commercial Planning Form to organize your thoughts before performing the commercial. You will not be able to use this form during your actual performance. The commercial must be memorized!
  • The commercial should be between 30 and 60 seconds long.
Commercial Scoring Criteria:
  • Informative (rate 1-5)
  • Creative (rate 1-5)
  • Well-presented (rate 1-5)
  • Enthusiastic (rate 1-5)
