Spontaneous Prayer
Spontaneous prayer is any prayer that a person creates themselves, as opposed to a prayer that they have memorized.
Spontaneous prayer often falls into one of these categories:

petition (asking God to help the speaker)

intercession (asking God to help someone else)

praise (giving glory to God)

thanksgiving (giving thanks to God for His goodness to us)
